C&J Construction & Roofing LTD carries out structural roofing carpentry across West Yorkshire, from traditional cut roofs built on site to designed trussed rafter roofs craned into position on new builds and extensions. We also repair and replace failed rafters, purlins, wall plates and ceiling joists on existing properties.
The covering only performs as well as the structure underneath it. Sagging rooflines, bowed ridges and dipped valleys are structural problems, and no amount of new tile will fix them.
Our carpentry work covers:
- Traditional cut roofs, set out and built on site with ridge, rafters, purlins, collars and struts
- Trussed rafter roofs, set out, positioned, braced and strapped to design
- New build and extension roof structures from foundation drawings
- Dormer construction, flat roof and pitched
- Rafter, purlin and wall plate replacement where rot or beetle has taken hold
- Ridge and valley reinforcement on sagging roofs
- Firring and decking for flat roofs in OSB3 or ply
- Gable ladders, verge detail and eaves carpentry
All structural timber is treated, correctly graded and fixed with the specified straps, hangers and restraint. Building control notifications and inspections are handled where the work requires them.
