Our commitment
C&J Construction & Roofing LTD wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device they use and whatever their access needs. We have built this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, and to meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. Focus is always visible and follows a logical order.
- A skip to content link is the first item on every page, so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation.
- Body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background, and large text and interface components meet at least 3 to 1.
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks are used throughout, with one H1 per page and a logical heading order beneath it.
- Every meaningful image carries descriptive alternative text. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields have visible, permanently associated labels. Errors are announced clearly, described in plain English and linked to the field concerned.
- Text can be resized to 200 percent and the layout reflows to 320 pixels wide without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
- Motion and transitions are reduced automatically when your device is set to prefer reduced motion.
- No content flashes more than three times per second.
- Touch targets meet the minimum target size required by WCAG 2.2 at level AA.
Known limitations
Some project photographs are supplied by third parties and, while all carry descriptive alternative text, image quality varies. Any document we publish in PDF form may not be fully accessible. If you need information from a PDF in another format, ask us and we will supply it.

How this site was tested
This site was tested using keyboard only navigation, browser zoom to 200 percent, automated contrast checking against WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds, and structural review of headings, landmarks and form labelling. Testing is repeated whenever the site changes substantially.
