C&J Construction & Roofing LTD installs and repairs flat roofs on extensions, garages, dormers, porches and outbuildings throughout West Yorkshire. We work in GRP fibreglass, EPDM rubber membrane and high performance torch on felt, and we build the falls properly so water actually leaves the roof.
The reason flat roofs get a bad name is not the material, it is the installation. A flat roof that ponds water will fail whatever it is covered in. We build in the correct fall using firrings, get the drainage right, and detail the upstands, trims and outlets so the weak points are protected.
The three systems we install:
- GRP fibreglass. Laid as a single seamless layer with no joints, colour matched trims and a hard wearing top coat. Excellent for garage roofs, dormers and small to medium extensions.
- EPDM rubber. A single sheet membrane that flexes with the building and handles temperature swings well. Very good for larger areas and for roofs with awkward shapes.
- Torch on felt. Three layer built up felt systems using modern polymer modified membranes, mineral finished. Cost effective and proven.
We also convert tired flat roofs to pitched roofs where the structure allows, which is a popular upgrade on rear extensions and garages.
