What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are used to make a site work, to remember your preferences and, on many sites, to measure how the site is used.
Our approach
C&J Construction & Roofing LTD takes a deliberately minimal approach. This website sets no advertising cookies and no third party tracking cookies. Fonts are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from an external provider, so no data is sent to a third party simply by loading a page.
When you first arrive you are shown a consent banner. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose. You can accept or reject with a single click, and rejecting costs you no functionality.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the site to function and do not need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
- cj_cookie_consent. Records whether you accepted or rejected non essential cookies, so you are not asked again on every page. Expires after twelve months.
- WordPress session and security cookies. Set only if you log in to the site as an administrator. These are not set for ordinary visitors.
Analytics cookies, only with your consent
If analytics is enabled and you accept, a measurement cookie may be set to give us anonymous statistics such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. These are never loaded before you consent, and choosing reject prevents them entirely.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings, which will make the banner appear again on your next visit.
Third party content
If we ever embed content from another service, such as a map or a video, that provider may set its own cookies. Any such content is blocked until you give consent.
