We strip the old covering back to the rafters, put right anything underneath, and re roof in tile or slate with modern membrane, battens and dry fix detailing built to last.
There comes a point where patching a roof stops making sense. When tiles are going porous across whole slopes, slipping one after another from nail fatigue, or the felt underneath has perished and turned to dust, repairs only buy time. A full replacement puts the whole roof back to new in one go.
We do not re cover over problems. The old tiles or slates come off, along with the battens and felt, so the rafters can be seen and checked. Any rotten, split or sagging timber is repaired or replaced before a single new tile goes back on.

- Rafters inspected, with any damaged timber repaired or replaced
- New breathable roofing membrane and treated battens
- Concrete tiles, clay tiles or natural slate laid and fixed to current standards
- Dry fix ridge, hip and verge systems, with no mortar to crack and drop
- New lead flashings, valleys and soakers where needed
- Roof space ventilation built in to stop condensation in the loft
- Fascias, soffits and guttering replaced at the same time if you want them done
If the roof only needs a repair, we will tell you that instead. We would rather quote you honestly for a few tiles than sell you a roof you do not need yet.
