A bathroom is the room where bad workmanship shows up fastest, because water finds every shortcut. We tank, seal and fall the floors properly, then tile onto a surface that is actually ready.
The two things that ruin bathrooms are movement and water. Tiles crack because they were laid onto a flexing floor that was never overboarded. Leaks appear behind the shower because the wall was never tanked and the tile adhesive was doing the waterproofing.
What a bathroom installation includes:
- Old suite stripped out and removed
- Floors overboarded or strengthened so tiles do not crack later
- Full tanking to wet areas and shower enclosures before any tiling
- Wet room formers, falls and linear drainage where you want a level access shower
- All plumbing first and second fix, including relocating soil and waste where needed
- Electrics, shower circuits, extractor fans, lighting and heated mirrors
- Underfloor heating, electric or wet, laid and thermostatted
- Full tiling to walls and floors, including large format and porcelain
- Suite, screens, radiators and towel rails fitted
- Silicone, grouting, decoration and finishing
